Publica Antonio Brown extensa disculpa en Instagram

Este jueves Antonio Brown publicó una fotografía en compañía de Tom Brady con el mensaje “te extraño, hermano mayor”, pero eso no fue suficiente y ahora en Instagram publicó un largo mensaje donde pide disculpas por su comportamiento en el último año y también busca una nueva oportunidad en la liga.

“A lo largo de los años, enfrenté retos y honestamente no los manejé de la manera que se suponía. En las últimas semanas, tuve la oportunidad de pensar en todo lo que pasó y me disculpó profundamente con quienes ofendí. Aunque mi comportamiento no tiene excusa, cuando alguien llega con falsa información y acusaciones, hacemos cosas de las que podemos arrepentirnos. Me hago totalmente responsable de mis acciones y estoy trabajando para reparar lo que dañé. Sé que si recibo otra oportunidad de jugar el deporte que amo, voy a trabajar muy duro para mostrarle al mundo lo agradecido que estaré”, explica el wide receiver.

 First and foremost, I’d like to apologize to my family, friends and anyone who I offended. I never once meant to make anyone feel like I wasn’t thankful and appreciative of the opportunity that I was afforded to play the game I love. I’ve worked hard over the years to earn a chance to compete in the greatest game on earth. Over the years I was met with challenges and I can honestly say I didn’t handle those challenges in the manner that I should have. Over the past few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to think about everything that’s transpired and I am deeply sorry to all who I’ve offended. While my behavior was inexcusable, sometimes when people are coming at you with false information and allegations, we handle ourselves in ways that we sometimes regret. I do take full responsibility for my actions and I’m working everyday to repair what I broke. I do know that if I’m ever given the opportunity to play the game that I love, I’m going to work extremely hard to show the world how much I appreciate another chance. To the organizations that I offended, I offer my sincere apology to you and my hope is that you forgive me and help me move on from this minor setback. I look forward to competing and helping a team reach their goals.

Asimismo, el egresado de Central Michigan se tomó tiempo para mostrar arrepentimiento en torno a su actitud durante su estancia en tres diferentes organizaciones de la liga. En primera instancia, se encargó de que Steelers se desprendieran de él por problemas con Ben Roethlisberger, después tiró un trade con Buffalo, forzó su salida de Raiders y finalmente, tras ser cortado por Patriots, despotricó en contra de Robert Kraft.

“A las organizaciones que ofendí, ofrezco una sincera disculpa y espero que me perdonen y ayuden a pasar este pequeño contratiempo. Busco competir y ayudar a un equipo a alcanzar sus metas”, explicó Brown, quien parece que quiere conciliarse con los dirigentes de la NFL para recibir una nueva oportunidad.
